School Age Child Care
Whether at the school or at the YMCA, the YMCA is dedicated to youth development and ensuring every child has the resources to grow and thrive.
At the Cumberland YMCA School Age Child Care program we take fun seriously! School Age Child Care and Summer Camp are designed to promote child development and cognitive growth including social-emotional stimuli, educational and extracurricular enrichment, and most importantly, opportunities for imaginative exploration! Students who participate in our programs experience enrichment programs in one of several categories (physical activity, STEAM, arts and humanities, or agriculture/nature). Our child care programs serve children ages 5-11 years old.
The YMCA takes your child’s health seriously. We will continue to follow all MSDE guidelines relating to the health and safety of children and staff.
CHECK LIST FOR CHILD CARE REGISTRATION
1. Enroll your child in either a Family or Youth membership plan.
2. Complete the YMCA School Age Child Care Registration forms.
3. Complete the MSDE Emergency Form.
4. Complete the Healthcare Information Forms.
Parents/Guardians complete the MSDE Health Inventory part I. Have your child’s physician complete the MSDE Health Inventory Part II, Immunization Form, Medication Administration Authorization Form, and if needed, the Allergy Action Plan and/or Asthma Action plan.
5. If your child is under the age of 6, please have the child’s physician complete the Blood Lead Testing Certification form.
6. Please read the MSDE Parent’s Guide to Regulated Child Care pamphlet and the YMCA School Age Child Care Parent Handbook.

7. Submit all forms.
Once completed, please email all forms to Charity Cross at charity@cumberlandymca.org.

Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 6:30 am - 6:00 pm.
Holiday Closing:
Our School Aged Child Care Center will be CLOSED Labor Day, Thanksgiving, the Friday following Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve through New Year's Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July.

FULL DAY CARE FOR SCHOOL CLOSING DAY | $30 DOLLARS / DAY
*There is no reduction in tuition for absences, holiday or closures.
Purchase of Care Vouchers/Scholarships will be accepted.
