The rules of pickleball are simple and the game is easy for beginners of all ages to learn. Games can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competition for players of all skill levels. Pickleball combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong and can be played singles or doubles. Gather some friends or meet new players at a social drop-in session at the Y. Pickleball is now offered both indoors and outdoors!

Pickleball at the Riverside Y
For all the tennis enthusiasts in the area, pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the nation. It is a fast paced yet low impact sport that includes a mixture of tennis, racquetball, badminton, and table tennis.
This is a recreational league that is great for all ages. No statistics or standings will be recorded. The session runs in 3 month increments and is for members only. Individuals 18 years and older are welcome to participate in this program.
Mondays - Fridays: 8:00 am - 10:00 am
Tuesdays: 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Pickleball at the Downtown Y
Beginning Thursday, May 6th, the Downtown YMCA gymnasium will be available for members to play Pickleball. Greg Powell will be the volunteer coordinator on-site for this program. This will be offered on Thursday evenings from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm and Saturday mornings from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. This is only available to active YMCA members.
Members will need to obtain a monthly print out of their membership information to provide proof of membership prior to every Pickleball session at the Downtown YMCA.
*The print out only needs to be picked up from the Welcome Center on a monthly basis, but does need to be taken to the Downtown YMCA for every Pickleball session.
