The Cumberland Y hosts spring outdoor soccer seasons for area Middle and High School students beginning on April 22nd. All players will receive a shirt from the YMCA. Normal outdoor high school rules apply. There is no minimum playing time requirement. All players are required to wear shin guards and cleats (metal cleats are not allowed). Slide tackling is not permitted. The Y will provide soccer game balls. Players MUST be listed on a team roster in order to play outdoor soccer.
There will be three divisions: High School Boys (players currently in grades 8-11), High School Girls (players currently in grades 8-11), and Middle School Co-ed (players currently in grades 5-7). These games will be played at the Gene Mason Riverside Sports Complex near CSX in South Cumberland. Registration ends on April 10th. All players register themselves and will receive a shirt. During the registration process, players will list their coach/team name. Coaches are responsible for submitting their rosters and communicating with their teams. Team rosters can be found on the left side of this website or picked up at the YMCA welcome center. Schedule requests from coaches must be written on team rosters and will be accommodated when possible, but not guaranteed. Team rosters MUST be submitted by April 4th for scheduling purposes.
