Sea Otters Swim Teams
MEET THE COACHING STAFF
HEAD COACH, JAMIE WRIGHT- Jamie Wright has been with the Sea Otters since November of 2002. Jamie has been a competitive swimmer since the age of eleven. She a 2002 graduate of East Stroudsburg University with a B.S. in Recreation and Leisure Services Management.
During her coaching career at the YMCA she has lead over 75 swimmers to qualify for the District Swim Meet, 25 to the Regional Swim Meet and 8 National Qualifiers with 1 National Champion in 2007. Jamie works with swimmers of all age ranges on the team. In addition to being the Head Swim Coach she is also the Aquatics Director at the YMCA.
ASSISTANT COACH, JILL TANNER- Jill Tanner just recently moved to the area from Winchester, VA area where she coached a high school team for 4 years. She was part of the Virginia High School League where she coached Shenandoah County Swim League- Strasburg for 4 years. She is a certififed level II USA Swimming Coach. Before that Jill swam while in High School and at Indiana University of PA.
ASSISTANT COACH, EMMA DUSENBERY- Emma Dusenbery has been coaching for the summer and winter Sea Otters since 2009. While on the team she swam predominately middle distance and distance freestyle. She was a captain during her senior year. Emma is a 2008 graduate of Mount Saint Mary’s University with a B.S. in Mass Communications. Emma teaches group swim lessons, private swim lessons and is a certified Lifeguard at the YMCA as well. Emma works predominately with elementary to middle school age swimmers on the team.
ASSISTANT COACH, VICKIE AMAN-Vickie Aman has been teaching swimming at the YMCA for over 30 years. She recently added coaching to her extensive resume. Vickie teaches group fitness classes, group swim lessons, and private swim lessons and is a certified Lifeguard. Vickie works predominately with new and young swimmers to the team.
VOLUNTEER COACHES , ROSS MONROE & DR. BRIAN HASSLINGER Both Brian & Ross have several years of competitive swimming experience in the High School, summer league, college and masters swimming competitions. Both will be entering into their third year as volunteer coaches with the Winter Sea Otters.
