A great opportunity for players aged 18 years and older to participate in competitive, organized basketball games.  Regular season runs 10 weeks and playoffs are in the form of a single elimination tournament following the season.  Games are played Sundays at the Riverside YMCA gymnasium.

Older Adult Pick-Up Basketball @ the Gilchrist Center

Looking for the chance to get back in shape, get a little exercise, and have some fun?  The Older Adult Pick-Up Basketball program at the Gilchrist Center gymnasium may be your ticket.  Join a group of players for some pick-up basketball, most games being half-court, with teams of three or four players rotating play. 
 
Mondays at 5:30pm - 7:30pm
Ages: 40 and over
Fee: $3 cash at the door – Gilchrist gymnasium
 

Pick-Up Basketball @ the Gilchrist Center

Join all the guys over on Baltimore Ave. for a fun filled evening of non stop run and gun basketball play.  Doors open at 7:30 PM on Monday nights. 

 

 

 

A fast-paced, skilled league for experienced teams and players.  Adults only - players must be 18 years of age or older.  This is a 6 versus 6 league.  Regular season runs 13 weeks in length and playoffs are in the form of a single-elimination tournament following the season.  Games are played Thursday evenings at the Riverside YMCA gymnasium.

 

                                                                                                                   

 


  

A fast-paced, skilled league for experienced women volleyball players.  Adult women only - players must be 18 years of age or older.  This is a 4 versus 4 league.  Regular season runs 13 weeks in length and playoffs are in the form of a single elimination tournament following the season.  Games are played  Tuesday evenings at the Riverside YMCA gymnasium.             

 


 

 

Come and join the fun with one of the fastest growing sports! 

Pickleball is a form of indoor tennis which can be described as a mixture of tennis, racquetball, badminton and table tennis. It is played on an indoor court with a lowered net and smaller playing area and the sport will improve hand/eye coordination, reflex action, strategic ball placement and short game (at the net) strategies. An instructor will be provided on Mondays and Thursdays for those wanting assistance.
Session 2 begins February 27 and ends April 12. Play days are Mondays and Thursdays from 8AM-10AM.
Y-Members: $14/ 7-week session
Non Y-members:$42/ 7-week session
Y-members registered in this program or the evening program will be provided additional practice days at no charge on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8AM-10AM.
If additional days are desired for non Y-members, purchase of a $10/ one day pass is available at the front desk and will include pickleball and use of the pool, fitness center and facilities.

                                                                                                                                                                                     

  
 
 
 YMCA Adult Recreational Pickleball League 
 
For all avid tennis players that cannot find the court lines through the snow.....Pickleball is here!!  Come inside the Y and engage in league play.  The game is played on an inside reduced size court, with a lowered net, using a slotted ball similar to a wiffle ball.  It is great for conditioning for outdoor tennis, as well as keeping up the competitive nature of the sport.   Regular season runs 7 weeks in length. 
This is an adult league, 18 years of age or older. The league will be run by experienced pickleball player Vickie Aman.
Session 2 will begin Monday, February 27 and will end Monday, April 09.
Registration cost is   Members: $20    Community: $40
Registration is now open and will close Friday, February 24.
Spaces are limited and registration may close early.
  • Matches will be played from 6PM - 8PM Monday evenings.
